If this is your first time establishing an AWS account for UCLA business, then follow the instructions in this step (#2) and continue to steps 3 through 7.

If you have previously established an AWS account for UCLA business, then skip this step (#2), return to How to Establish an Amazon Web Services (AWS) Account at UCLA and continue to steps 3 through 7.

2.1. Go to aws.amazon.com (link is external) and click on the 'Create an AWS Account'  button at the top of the page.

2.2. Enter your UCLA email address, select I am a new user, then click Sign in using our secure server.
*It is important to use a separate email address for your professional vs. personal use, because AWS and Amazon.com accounts cannot be separated.

2.3. Complete the Login Credentials fields, then click Continue.

2.4. Complete the fields on the Amazon Web Services Sign Up page, click Create Account and Continue.

2.5. You will be presented with the Payment Method screen. DO NOT enter Credit Card Information. Instead, just type in www.aws.amazon.com into your browser.

2.6. Click the drop down on the top right that says 'Sign In' and select 'My Account'. Make sure the "I am a returning user and my password is:" radio button is selected this time

2.7 Login using the credentials you set up on step 2.3.

2.8. After you login, retrieve your new AWS account number and include it on your PO (next step).
