Microsoft MCCA Annual Enrollment Renewal Instructions 20/21

Preparing Your Annual MCCA Enrollment Renewal for the July 1, 2020 to June 30, 2021 Agreement Term
 

The updated Microsoft Consolidated Campus Agreement (MCCA) renewal procedures for the period above are detailed below.  The procedures are intended to make ordering/renewing as accurate as possible.

MCCA Second 19/20 Quarterly Purchase Opportunity

UC's MCCA agreement includes the ability to make additional mid-term purchases with a minimum order volume.  Orders for the second MCCA quarterly mid-term purchase are due by Wednesday, December 4, 2019.  If your department needs to acquire new/or additional licenses under the MCCA at this time, please complete an ONLINE ORDER no later than Wednesday, December 4, 2019 by visiting the Software Central Store and signing in with your UCLA ID to place the order.  Fulfillment by SHI will take place on January 1, 2020.

MCCA First 19/20 Quarterly Purchase Opportunity

UC's MCCA agreement includes the ability to make additional mid-term purchases with a minimum order volume.  Orders for the first MCCA quarterly mid-term purchase are due by Tuesday, September 20, 2019.  If your department needs to acquire new/or additional licenses under the MCCA at this time, please complete an ONLINE ORDER no later than Wednesday, September 20, 2019 by visiting the Software Central Store and signing in with your UCLA ID to place the order.  Fulfillment by SHI will take place on October 1, 2019.

2017-18 MCCA Now Renewing

Departments currently participating in the UC wide Microsoft Consolidated Campus Agreement (MCCA) received their renewal instructions on March 1 & 2. 2017.  If your department particpates and did not receive their renewal information, please contact Software Central immediately.  Orders are due in our online store by April 7, 2017.  If your department is interested in joining the MCCA this year, please start with our About the MCCA page.

Windows Server 2016 and System Center 2016 Licensing Update

With the upcoming launch of Windows Server 2016 and System Center 2016, for servers the licensing of Datacenter and Standard Edition will transition from processor licensing to physical core licensing. However, for UC customers, per processor licenses are also available for this 17/18 enrollment term only.  Whichever works out better (more economical) for you will depend on your actual server configurations.  For client computers, per user or per device based Windows Server CALs and System Center CMLs will continue to be a requirement.
