To Deactivate Azure Online Services Accounts

Department must pro-actively deactivate use of the services in order to stop incurring charges.  To deactivate a Microsoft Azure Online Services account, proceed as follows:

7.1 Notify Software Central at least two months prior to the date that you wish to deactivate your Azure Online Services.

7.2 Prior to deactivation date, department must deactivate all Azure Online Services as follows:

Extension Orders for Azure Online Services

An extension order must be placed prior to the expiration of the initial 36 month term if you want to continue using the service.  If an extension order is not processed prior to expiration of the initial 36 month term, access to the services may be withdrawn and all stored data may be deleted.

Automatic Usage-Based Billing

After each annual pre-paid balance is exhausted, accounts will switch to automatic quarterly billing based upon actual usage.

Establish Azure Online Services Account

4.1 Within a week from step 3.4, the person designated as the department's Main Departmental Azure Contact will receive an email directly from Microsoft that will contain a link. Please click the link in order to review and electronically sign the agreements on behalf of your department.

Understand Your Potential Volume of Usage

Azure Online Services require an annual minimum pre-payment.  Use of the services will draw down those pre-paid funds until they are exhausted.
